Wushu Sanda Returns to Arnold Sports Festival with Titles, Rankings, and South American Challenge
Wushu Sanda will once again be featured at the Arnold Sports Festival South America 2026 as part of the traditional Fight Pavilion, a space dedicated to combat sports. The discipline arrives highlighted by the XI Arnold Sports Fight and the VI Brazil Sanda Cup, organized by the Brazilian Wushu Sanda Federation (FBRWS), reinforcing its growing importance in the national fighting scene. The event will take place on April 26 and is expected to bring together athletes of various ages and skill levels in a large celebration of the sport.
The competition program will include Elite Sanda divisions, where championship belts will be contested, as well as Amateur and Light Sanda categories, covering everyone from beginners to high-performance fighters. This structure ensures a diverse and competitive environment, appealing to both emerging talents and experienced athletes.
Another key aspect is that the results will count toward the official national ranking of the FBRWS, raising the stakes and competitiveness of the tournament. In addition to the main bouts, the event will also feature a South American challenge in selected categories, promoting greater interaction and competition among athletes from across the continent.
“The Brazilian Wushu Sanda Federation will be organizing the Sanda competitions at Arnold Sports for the eleventh consecutive time. This is a very special event, eagerly anticipated by everyone, and each year the competition continues to grow. We will also have lectures and other activities related to Sanda,” said Lincoln Albuquerque, president of the FBRWS.
Sanda will be one of 20 disciplines taking place simultaneously at the Fight Pavilion, showcasing talent, performance, dedication, and the true spirit of the largest multi-sport event in Latin America.
