Vietnam Wushu Team Wins Three Golds at World Taijiquan Championship
The Vietnam wushu team has secured three gold medals so far at the 2026 World Taijiquan Championship, currently taking place in Bulgaria. The tournament is nearing its conclusion, with the final day scheduled for April 30.
After several days of competition, Vietnam has collected a total of 13 medals: three gold, two silver, and eight bronze. The gold medals were won by Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Nguyen Thanh Van, and Nguyen Le Chi, highlighting the team’s strong performance in taijiquan events.
Silver medals came from Pham Nguyen Hoai Nam, while bronze medals were earned by athletes including Nguyen Khac Le Hoang, Hoang Duc Duy, Nguyen Thanh Van, and Chu Tue Anh across various disciplines.
The championship has attracted many of the world’s top athletes, with 15 teams winning medals so far. China currently leads the standings with nine gold medals and one silver, maintaining its dominance in the sport.
Vietnam is competing with a squad that includes Nguyen Le Chi, Nguyen Thanh Van, Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, Chu Tue Anh, Hoang Duc Duy, Nguyen Khac Le Hoang, Pham Nguyen Hoai Nam, and Nguyen Trong Lam, continuing to show strong results against top international competition.
