Turkish referees invited to world-class competitions due to their demonstrated performance most recently officiated at the 2025 Balkan Wushu Cup Championship and the national championship organized by the Italian Wushu Kungfu Federation.

Turkey Wushu Kung Fu Federation President Abdurrahman Akyüz told the AA correspondent that Turkish referees officiate at world-class wushu competitions with their fair and impartial management. Akyüz stated that wushu, an elegant and aesthetic sport, supports mental, physical, and spiritual development, expressing that they are making efforts for this sport to develop in Turkey and the world.

Referring to Turkish athletes' successes, Akyüz continued:

"Our athletes are among the best in the world. Our athletes have been training with the best athletes and coaches in China for 17 years. Our children sometimes show that they do this sport better than the Chinese, they have reached that performance and level. The whole world sees this. We dedicate these great successes to our nation. This success is the success of our entire nation and country."

Akyüz stated that Turkey stands out not only in athletes' success in wushu but also in refereeing, saying:

"Our children have become both world champion athletes and the best referees in the world. Now they manage matches in Europe and the world and show that they are impartial and fair in the matches they manage."

Explaining that the Balkan Wushu Cup Championship was managed entirely by Turkish referees and they performed well, Akyüz said:

"Turkish referees were also invited to the Italian Wushu Kungfu Federation's national championship. Our referees also managed Italy's national competitions. The International Wushu Federation also admits that our referees know this job best and manage competitions fairly."
