The Southern Federal District Wushu Championship and Youth Tournament officially opened at the Yakub Koblev Sports Palace of Adygea State University in Maykop, the capital of the Republic of Adygea.

Safer Sheudzhen, Deputy Chairman of the State Council-Khase Budget Policy Committee, attended the opening ceremony and emphasized the tournament's significance. He noted that competitions of this caliber serve young athletes passionate about one of the world's oldest martial arts not only as a traditional sporting platform but also as a foundation for exchanging experience, strengthening ties between schools, and building friendships across regions.

Vladimir Narozhny, Speaker of the State Council-Khase, highlighted that Adygea has established all the necessary conditions to host competitions of various types and disciplines. He expressed confidence that the wushu championship and youth tournament would be conducted at the highest level.
