The seventh edition of the African Youth and Junior Wushu Kung Fu Championship concluded in Cairo, Egypt, from February 9-14, 2026, with participation from 15 African countries. According to the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation, the Moroccan national team delivered a distinguished performance, harvesting 17 varied medals that secured third place in the overall ranking—an achievement confirming the continuous development of wushu sport in the Kingdom of Morocco.

In the Taolu (forms) category, champion Sawsan Al-Sanaghi won a gold medal in Taiji sword, plus two bronze medals in empty-hand Taiji and Taiji fan. Champion Osama Al-Maghnawi earned three silver medals in empty-hand Taiji, Taiji sword, and Taiji fan. Champion Houda Ait Hassouneh captured three bronze medals in northern boxing empty-hand, broadsword, and staff. Champion Ryan Boukacheb won a bronze in broadsword, while champion Ryan Al-Chatibi secured two silvers in southern boxing empty-hand and southern sword, plus a bronze in southern staff. Champion Aya Al-Daraawi claimed two silvers in northern boxing empty-hand and staff.

In the Sanda category, champion Abdel Samad Abou El Azm (under 56 kg) won a bronze medal, as did champion Nabila Azroual (under 65 kg). The Wushu Federation stated this achievement is the fruit of integrated collective work, led by national coaches Mohamed Rejraji and Mohamed Al-Maghnawi, delegation head Professor Mohmmad Al-Jamaawi, and referee Obaid Al-Idrisi, whose distinguished presence reflected Morocco's special position at the continental level.

On the sidelines of the competitions, the Executive Office and General Assembly of the African Wushu Kung Fu Federation convened. During the General Assembly proceedings, Abderrahman Al-Sanaghi, president of the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation, was elected as a member of the African Federation's Executive Office for the second consecutive time for the 2026-2030 term, with unanimous support (18 votes out of 18)—a new confirmation of the trust Morocco enjoys within the African system. With these honorable results, Morocco continues to consolidate its position among the continent's greats in wushu kung fu sport, with greater ambitions for more brilliance in upcoming competitions.
