Three athletes from the Jun Lun Professional Wushu Training Centre achieved a major milestone at the 2026 World Junior Wushu Championships in Tianjin, China, delivering standout performances on the global stage. Their success marks a significant step forward for the centre’s growing international presence.

Crystal Wee Yu Tang led the achievements by securing a joint gold medal in the Girls C daoshu event with a score of 8.513 points. She also earned a silver medal in changquan and placed fourth in gunshu. This victory represents the centre’s first-ever gold medal at the world junior level.

Her brother, Bryan Wee Hao Quan, also impressed with a silver medal in Boys C daoshu, along with bronze medals in both changquan and gunshu. Meanwhile, Amber Tan Ling Xin demonstrated strong technical ability, finishing eighth in both gunshu and daoshu, and seventh in the changquan preliminary round in a highly competitive youth category.

The achievements build on the centre’s progress since 2023, when Morven Phua Yan Hao became its first athlete to represent Malaysia internationally. To celebrate the success, the centre held a meeting and dinner attended by its leadership and coaching staff, where they reviewed progress and planned future events.

“We will now move forward with preparations for the upcoming tournament, while continuing our efforts to contribute to the growth of wushu in Sarawak and Malaysia,” said president Lucas Lim Tee Kiat, who described the gold medal as a landmark moment reflecting the effectiveness of the centre’s long-term development system.
