The Military Institution Club in Egypt achieved a major continental success by topping the African Wushu Kung Fu Clubs Championship held in Tunisia. The competition featured more than 600 athletes from over 22 sports organizations, with Egypt showcasing its strength and dominance in the sport across Africa.

Competing under the Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation, the team delivered an outstanding performance, confirming the country’s continued progress and competitiveness on the continental stage. The achievement highlights the development of the sport in Egypt and the ability of its athletes to consistently perform at a high level.

The club secured first place overall, winning the team performance and routines category with the highest score of 9.07. In total, the team collected 42 medals: 20 gold, 16 silver, and 6 bronze across sanda, routines, and other events.

The federation praised the team’s performance, stating that it reflects the strength of Egypt’s wushu system and its potential for further success. 

“This achievement reflects the strength of the wushu system in Egypt and its ability to achieve more success in the coming period and raise Egypt’s name high,” the federation said.

Several athletes delivered standout performances, contributing multiple medals each, while the coaching staff—led by head coach Nasr Salem—played a key role in preparing the team. The victory reinforces Egypt’s position as a leading force in African wushu and highlights the effectiveness of its structured training system.
