The Iúna City Council in Espírito Santo, Brazil, has approved a project establishing Wushu Sanda as an official event on the municipality's sports calendar. The annual competition, sanctioned by the Brazilian Federation through the Espírito Santo Wushu Sanda Department, will take place every August, positioning the city as a martial arts hub in the Caparaó region.

The official recognition comes as the sport experiences significant growth in the municipality. Iúna has gained prominence on the national and international stage, largely due to the achievements of athletes from the Shaolin Combat Martial Arts School.
