Martial arts athletes, coaches, judges, and referees made a beeline to the Wushu Kungfu Seminar held at the Millennium Airport Hotel in Dubai, organized by the International Wushu Federation under the stewardship of Salem Hamdan Al Ameri, the only recognized representative of IWUF in the UAE working alongside the Arab Wushu Kung Fu Union—the only approved entity in the UAE by the IWUF.

The four-hour seminar was conducted by Rong Jun to an audience of 80 and more members, training them in elements of judging and refereeing Sanda and Taolu tournaments. Delegates consisting of more than 80 coaches from gyms from every Emirate of the country were in attendance and were rewarded with certificates in recognition of their learning.

Jun is a member of the IWUF technical committee, chairman of the European Judges Committee, head coach of the Swiss National Wushu team, and the vice chief referee and head judge of many world-level championships and multi-sports games. The seminar represents a significant step in developing judging and refereeing standards across the UAE's wushu community.

The event marks the first such comprehensive training session in the country, providing crucial education to coaches and officials who will apply these standardized principles in local and regional competitions, strengthening the UAE's wushu infrastructure and alignment with international standards.
