China Sweeps Six Wushu Sanda Gold Medals in One Hour at Asian Games
China won six Wushu Sanda gold medals in just one hour at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on September 24.
Chinese athletes claimed gold in the women’s 52kg and 60kg categories, as well as the men’s 56kg, 60kg, 65kg and 70kg divisions.
China has now won all 12 Wushu gold medals it entered at the Games. The remaining two gold medals were won by the Chinese teams from Hong Kong and Macao.
Coach Li Qiang praised the team for handling the pressure and achieving its pre-competition target, while noting that the athletes still have room to improve. With the Sanda events now complete, the Wushu competition at the Asian Games has concluded.
