The Palataurus arena in Lecco became the stage for an outstanding sporting achievement last weekend, as athletes from Wushu School Tiriolo delivered an impressive performance at the XI “Meravigliatevi” Wushu Open Tournament. Competing in Sanda, the combat discipline of wushu, Pullano Flavio, Rotella Miriam, Fichera Pietro, Manzo Ginevra, and Chiarella Roberta, under the guidance of renowned Master Vincenzo Scozzafava, secured an exceptional medal haul: five gold medals and one bronze.

The tournament, considered one of the most prestigious and widely attended events in Italy for Chinese martial arts, brought together hundreds of athletes from across the country, along with 20 international delegations. Despite the high level of competition, the Tiriolo team stood out for its technical excellence and competitive determination, matching the standards of other leading IWA schools.

Their success marks a record-breaking outing, highlighting the strength and preparation of the team. Each athlete demonstrated remarkable discipline and focus throughout the event, contributing to the overall dominance of the group.

Sanda, a discipline that blends punches, kicks, and throws, demands not only physical strength but also sharp mental clarity and strategic thinking. These qualities were consistently displayed by the athletes from the historic Tiriolo school in every round of competition.
