Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil congratulated Captain Sherif Mostafa, President of the Egyptian, Arab, and African Wushu Kung Fu Federations and Vice President of the International Federation, on winning the position of President of the African Wushu Kung Fu Federation for the electoral term 2026-2030. The victory came during the electoral General Assembly meeting held in Cairo in February.
This victory represents new confirmation of the great trust that Mostafa enjoys within the African sports family, as he retained the presidency of the African Federation for the third consecutive time—an achievement reflecting tangible successes achieved in developing and spreading the sport within the African continent. The General Assembly witnessed participation from 19 countries out of 23 member states of the African Federation's General Assembly, in a distinguished organizational atmosphere reflecting Egypt's leading position in hosting and organizing continental and international sporting events.
The Minister of Youth and Sports confirmed that this victory represents a new administrative and sporting achievement added to the record of Egyptian successes in continental forums, reflecting the prestigious position enjoyed by Egyptian cadres in leading major sports institutions. He wished Mostafa continued success and guidance in completing the journey of development and advancement of wushu kung fu sport in Africa during the new term.
