Sakarya's national wushu athletes delivered an impressive performance at the Batumi Wushu Open International Tournament in Georgia, returning home with a total of six medals while representing Türkiye.

Competing for the Turkish national team, Mira Elanur Çalık won one silver and one bronze medal, Lina Gamze Çalık claimed one gold and one silver, while İkbal Elmacı added one silver and one bronze to Türkiye's medal tally.

Following the competition, the athletes credited their success to the guidance and dedication of their coaching staff. They expressed their gratitude to Head Coach Fatma Akyüz, as well as world champion coaches Elif Akyüz and Zeynep Makbule Akyüz, for their technical expertise, discipline, and unwavering support.

The athletes continue to train at Serdivan Indoor Sports Hall in Sakarya, where they are preparing for upcoming national and international competitions. Local officials highlighted that having the opportunity to train alongside world champions has played a key role in the region's growing success in wushu.

During the tournament, Türkiye Wushu Kung Fu Federation President Abdurrahman Akyüz was also present in Batumi, closely following the competition and supporting the Turkish national team.

The six-medal haul once again demonstrated the strength of Sakarya's wushu development program and reinforced the city's reputation as one of Türkiye's leading centers for producing international-level wushu athletes.
