Riyadh Hosts Successful Wushu Kung Fu Championship
The Wushu Kung Fu Championship concluded in Riyadh with Saudi male and female athletes competing in an event that highlighted the sport's growing presence in the Kingdom and the improving skill levels across various age categories.
The championship awarded 50 gold medals along with 50 silver and bronze medals following competitions across all age groups for both men and women. The tournament showcased advanced technical levels that reflected the significant efforts invested in athlete preparation and development.
In the overall club standings, Sama Al-Mawahib Club claimed first place, Black Tiger Club finished second, and Clever Club took third after intense competition throughout the championship days.
A total of 18 Saudi referees and technical officials were honored for their roles in managing bouts and providing technical supervision, contributing to the successful organization of the event. Tournament sponsors were also recognized for their support in making the championship possible.
The championship is part of ongoing efforts to develop wushu kung fu in Saudi Arabia, expand its participant base, and support national talent capable of representing the Kingdom at regional and international competitions.
