More than 350 girls participated in the two-day ASMITA District Wushu League held at Universal Educational Trust in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. The competition concluded on Tuesday after bringing together young athletes from across the district.

The event featured sub-junior, junior and senior competitors across nine weight categories, with participants representing various schools and Wushu clubs.

Beyond competition, the league also served as a talent identification platform. The top-performing athletes will be selected to represent Bandipora district at the upcoming Union Territory-level Wushu competition.

The strong participation highlights the growing popularity of Wushu among young female athletes in the region and provides a pathway for promising competitors to progress to higher levels of competition.
